Watercolor sketch, fall leaves

The leaves here are so pretty, and I think I could sketch them all day! Each one is different and they remind me of the sunrise. I can't see the sunrise because of the trees here, so I guess I might have to get up early every morning and drive somewhere where I can see it. I am really missing Colorado lately, it's very pretty here but it's not home. I miss seeing the moon rise, and the sun rise and set, and rainbows, and being able to see forever. I miss the turquoise skies, and lightning, and being able to go for walks in the summer without getting heat stroke. I miss standing out in the middle of Kansas and being able to tell which direction I'm facing! There! I said it! I'm homesick. Sorry to be such a bummer.

Anyway! These are two sketches I just finished. The top one is in my Sketchbook Project journal and the bottom one is in my watercolor Moleskine. I like to have a duplicate sketch of each one I do in the SP.

oh and I am sorry you are feeling homesick...it is a good thing to express it and let it out

every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end...those song lyrics always come to me when I think about hard changes

oh Marva, I love these so much...will you make me one? pretty please...
I still get homesick. I miss the ocean and the bays...I miss all the green trees. At times though, this is starting to feel like home...I am still all turned around though. I get lost all the time...
