I love Hydrangeas!

Had to share my latest watercolor sketch! I did this in my Sketchbook Project book. I think it turned out really cool! I love hydrangeas! They are fascinating! Did you know that if you feed them with acidic plant food they will turn blue?!!! How cool is that?!!! If you live in an area where your soil is naturally acidic then they will be blue anyway. I am definitely going to have to put a copy of this in my own sketchbook!

Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day!

Up until now, I couldn't have Hydrangea's in my garden. The deer love them. BUT, in the Spring we are putting a wood fence around our property and I have been plotting my flowers already. Hydrangea's are #1 on my list.

Your sketches are just beautiful, Marva. I can see these on cards! How lovely. Thanks for sharing them!

Your painting is beautiful! I did not know that about the colors. Yesterday I was walking with a friend and she pointed out a bush with one blue hydrangea (the rest were all dried out already)... I wonder why that one hung on so long!
