A new collage

I started to solder some pendants the other day and realized I need some collages to solder... plus I was having so many different creative ideas that I didn't get anything done! I hate it when that happens, well I love all the ideas but I end up not knowing which one to go with. Anyway, I did make myself do a collage. I will size this down for a soldered pendant.
I picked up some more copper foil tape and have some of the wavy edged tape on order. Wonder where my glass cutter got off to?
Yesterday I also finally found some purse frames so I can work on some crazy quilted purses!!! I have been looking all over the city to no avail, but finally found some!
Now if I can just get all this done in a week so I can put them all in my Etsy shop for Christmas.... I need to remember to start doing Christmas projects in July, or maybe I'll just continue now and I'll be ready for next year. Oh, and then there is continuing with the lacy collages..... so much to do, so little time!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have an artistic day!!!

May do some soldering today...

Another glorious fall sunrise! I never get tired of them!
The second photo is of the youngest of our 3 cats, she's two, I think. Izzy is ornery!!!! She may be a kitten forever! She loves sitting on the kitchen counter and on the kitchen and dining room tables, just because we tell her no and keep taking her down... She doesn't get the hint from being sprayed either...
My artistic ADD has kicked in this morning! I have been wanting to get back to soldering some pendants for quite awhile!!! It's too cold out in the garage so I dusted off my supplies and brought them in the house. I see someone has been into my copper tape - an artistic teenager... Hopefully I'll have enough tape to get done what I want this morning without having to run to Hobby Lobby. If I go there I won't get any art done this morning! I love that store!
I popped over to Sally Jean's website for some inspiration:
She takes such beautiful photos! I love robin's egg blue and she has a photo montage with it! And her soldering work is fabulous!!!! Be sure and stop over if you're looking for inspiration!
And as always, thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day!!!!

Lacy lady three

I just finished another lacy lady art quilt. I'm having so much fun doing these!!! I've been collecting all this lace for all these years and I'm finally getting around to using it! Not that I've even made a dent in my collection, but I'm working on it!
The images I'm using on these are from my collage sheets:
And I will be putting this up for sale in my Etsy shop today. Okay now that the shameless plugs are out of the way... :D
Some of these laces are new and some are very old! There are some that are hand crocheted or tatted too! And the buttons! Some are mother of pearl and some are just vintage. The mother of pearl ones are gorgeous! They just don't make them like that anymore.... I am making a dent in my button collection.
I think I'm on a roll with these lacy collages, but then again I never know when my muse will send me off in a different direction! Thanks so much for stopping by and have an awesome week!!!

Another lacey art quilt!

This one is sold already!!!!

I made another lacy art quilt with lots of lace and buttons! These are so much fun to make and to go through all the laces and buttons I've been collecting for years! I'm so proud of myself! This one is listed on Etsy also and measures 5 3/4" x 10 1/2". I am loving these! They would look so awesome in a shabby chic room!
I took off this weekend to do some art and I'm having a blast! Wishing again that I could make a living with my art... I guess all of us artist wish that.
Hope you're all having an awesome weekend!

Lacy fabric collage listed on Etsy!

I've been going through my stash of lace, and I have quite a stash!!! I just made this lacey fabric collage with vintage lace and vintage mother of pearl buttons and the image of the vintage lady is printed on fabric. I just listed this on Etsy if you'd like to take a look:
I'm stocking my Etsy shop for Christmas so if you're looking for a gift pop over!
I had so much fun making this! After doing all the tedious quilting by hand on the watercolor quilt it was so nice to get back to collage with fabric!!!
Like I said, I have quite the stash! I've been wanting to start using it up, instead of hoarding it. I have lace, buttons, fabric, sewing notions etc. so we'll see what else I can come up with!

Halleluhjah I'm almost done!!!

I'm almost finished!!!! I don't know why Blogger keeps turning my photos sideways but this is the bottom of my watercolor quilt. It's a gift so I can't show you the whole thing yet.... The darkest corners go on the bottom... This was a true labor of love, I could not get either of my 2 machines to do the wandering stitch, I tried 3 times, and ripped the stitches out 3 times so I finally decided just to do it by hand. I hope I never have to do that again! I finally switched back to the sewing machine at the very end and did a lot of the border on the machine. There were needle tracks all over the quilt from all the stitches I ripped out so I threw it in the washer and dryer and they disappeared and it has that wonderful crumpled look!

If anyone knows of an awesome sewing machine that does the free motion sewing really well, and the machine is easy to use let me know. I am getting so fed up with my two, the third machine I have doesn't have the ability to drop the feed dogs at all... I don't want a machine that I have to study to figure out how it works... thanks.

My daughter told me to grab my camera this morning, they're trained to let me know when there is a gorgeous sunrise, and this one was absolutely glorious!!!!!!!!!! I wonder if we're in for a snowstorm? There's an old saying, "red sky at morning, sailor take warning, red sky at night, sailor's delight," Maybe we'll get a couple of feet. We barely got any of the snow last week, so we could use some!!! We have had a 3 foot snowstorm since 1998!!! We used to have them all the time! Today it's going to be in the 70s!!!! And then a front coming in on Sunday, we'll see what happens...

As always, thanks so much for taking the time to come visit! Leave a comment so I can come visit you... and have an awesome weekend!!!!
